Dinner Table Conversations #08: Gucci’s Glorious Pipe Dream, California Roadtrip, Succeeding at Your Dream Business, Hawaii, Colour, Snickers Cake…

Gucci managed to pull off a show beyond all measures. Was it futuristic, or rather a post-human extravagance? It surely exceeded all notions of gender and feminism. Gucci’s Glorious Pipe Dream took place in form of a runway show under the Cyborg motto. The invitation was a ticking time bomb. The set was an operating theatre and the models walked with loose heads or mini dragons under their arms. Is this the newest wave of accessories? I doubt it. However, if you are interested in the thought process going on in Alessandro Michele’s head, you might want to have a read through the linked article.

Patrick Kahlo and his California Roadtrip short film make me want to jump onto the next aeroplane and fly over to the United States. I am in awe of those filming skills and the beautiful cut of the video. The edit made the scenery appear even more stunning and definitely jaw-dropping. You might want to have a look for yourself and dream yourself away to North America.

The past weeks I really fell into this whole with no inspiration available at all. I felt drained and even though I had 1000 things in mind to create for my blog and social media, as well as other ventures, I felt like it was getting me nowhere. Hence, I stopped creating for a little while. Luckily, I didn’t stop listening to podcasts and so the  3 Steps to Starting and Succeeding at Your Dream Business with Marie Forleo on The Influencer Podcast came to my rescue. Are you also feeling like you are hitting a wall? It might be time to have a listen. I certainly managed to gain back some of my drive and inspiration.

When all else fails, create a raw and plant-based Snickers Cake. I cannot thank Lauren enough for creating this to die for recipe. I mean this cake is already insanely pretty to look at and almost too pretty to eat. Almost.
