Being a woman. I don’t know about you and actually, I hope for you the circumstances are different but I grew up and still am partially surrounded by an environment where certain persons in my life do not see women equal to men. I know this sadly is still the case for many of us. It touches families, work environments, and any other area in daily life. As I cannot talk about the experience of others, I simply wanted to share a view thoughts on my own situation. In my life, I am experiencing that my own achievements are less valuable to certain men than they actually are. I have noticed that I am less valuable to them and the things I want to achieve and do, do not matter.
Countless times, I have heard, you are not good enough, you have not achieved anything so far, you are not working, why are you not making more money yet, you are not grateful, etc. Well, sometimes this sends me into a downward spiral but I am confident that I am rising up stronger every single time. I know, I am good enough, I know I work hard, I am one of the most grateful persons I know, and I for sure know where I want to go in life at least roughly as I am going with the flow. Why even bothering to justify my self, though. I don’t have to. You don’t have to. We are just doing our thing very gracefully. As I am writing this I am luckily at a place where after a rough period, I have managed to gather strength and have done everything in my power to pin down the near future that I have envisioned for myself. Thereby, I have to thank some of the most graceful women in my life and their constant and tireless support. Thank you.
One of my long-term goals in life is to make women feel less alone and to make every single one of us feel worthy. I want us to be less quite in our problems, having enough and a safe space to voice our thoughts. I envision for us to be able to speak up and talk about pleasure, our monthly cycle, body image, fashion, children, money, business and everything in-between. I would love to one day be able to give talks to make us all feel empowered and to reach more women in order for them to not feel alone in being a woman.
I want us to be able to share everything highly important and valid and also provide a space where we can laugh about the fun ways we experience life.
Most importantly, I want to create an environment which inspires to go after one’s dream as a woman and not being stopped by men downgrading our capabilities. So, that’s what pushes me to do what I do, to never stop creating, to go further even without the consent of certain people in my life, and to write down my thoughts, as well as sharing them so openly with you. If I can for now only reach one single woman and inspire you to do what you would love to do, to make you feel empowered or simply put a hopeful smile on your face, then I have done an incredible job for that given day.
