When I packed my suitcase for Shanghai (btw I am so proud I only took a single large suitcase and a cabin bag with me), I almost underestimated the temperatures of the city I was flying to. I thought it would be super warm most days. Instead, the weather actually changes constantly and rainy or windy days are quite common in-between days where you basically don’t want to wear anything.
Hence, I had a good reason to actually get myself a trench coat beforehand, as I did not have a single jacket in my closet for the spring period. As you know, I consume very selectively and a trench coat has been on my list for a very long time. When I found this khaki version, I knew it was the perfect trench for me. The style is so versatile, timeless and oh so chic. I also love how the colour works with my skin tone and hair shade. What do you think?
I got my trench coat from Peek & Cloppenburg. There are two individual businesses of Peek & Cloppenburg with the main locations in Düsseldorf and Hamburg. This article is based on a collaboration with the Peek & Cloppenburg KG, Düsseldorf. You can find the store locations at www.peek-cloppenburg.de. I truly love their broad selection of coats to choose from for the transitional season. Furthermore, I am very glad about the high quality of the selection they offer.
In case you want to follow up on my Shanghai adventures you might want to tune in to the Once Around The World podcast. Trust me, I already embarked on many adventures in my khaki trench coat. In the pictures below, I am standing outside the Jing’an Temple. A stunning traditional building in the midst of the Shanghai centre surrounded by oh so many high rise buildings. This city is truly full of contrasts and surprises. With my new coat, I am at least prepared for the rainy and windy situations.
